What exactly do find that is so "unprofessional"? Is it the fact that the bands and musicians that you are specifically talking about are local bands or bands in general? Does the music you enjoy from this band ever sound different? I think if musicians are helping each other out that's great and it also shows how diverse they can be because different groups have different sounds. If you haven't noticed the big tejano bands do this all the time, a certain musician might be playing with one band on one night and then with a different band in another city the next night-would you not attend a performance because someone different is playing bass, or there is a different drummer etc. Maybe gigging is a means of support for some people and they take whatever gig they can get, or maybe they just love playing music. |
