Hello, to anyone who might assist another middle-aged lady and I, in finding an affordable place to stay in Bourton-on-Water, beginning around July 12th for one week. The standard listings for "single rooms" are none cheaper than 55 pounds, which still translates into $108 US dollar per person, per night, a tough gig for a retired school teacher and a church organist....! I thought that perhaps some of you local villagers might know of a nice spot, not so well advertised, that might be more economical, or even know of a cottage that could be let for a week, while the owner is away visiting friends or children, and could make some decent pocket money in doing so....Perhaps unrealistic, but just thought I would at least try. I do have such fond, fond memories of Bourton from many years ago. We shall not have a car, so "in town" is a must - Very best regards and appreciation from Suzanne in Austin, Texas |
