Hello everyone! Have done quite a lot on my family tree and my great grandmother (on Mums side) was Florence Annie Banning, who married Gregory Augustus Treverton in London. She was born in Bourton - on- the -Water in 1862. Her father was George Banning, butcher in Stow on the Wold, who married Sarah Pitman, also from SoW. George father was Frederick, butcher in Stow, who married Esther (?) from Greatworth Northants. He also married Sarah Bond, his very young housekeeper, when he was 62! HIS father was William who was a tailor, of SoW.
Am coming to the Cotswolds in the summer for the first time - if there is anyone who knows their way round parish registers, or knows who I should ask, where I should go, I would be most grateful. I would be happy to pay for a guide's services for a day if you know how to follow this tree...
Looking forward to hearing from folk with this kind of expertise.
PS caravanning in Moreton-in-Marsh in August, should be lovely!
Thx for taking time to read this
