Judy, you know what's funny about this... with all the hype Myspace has been getting and with as popular as it is... I had actually started a page there after hearing about this recently (became a member for that sole purpose) to help promote Sonny as well but it just felt too weird... so I deleted it. I think I'll stick with what I'm familiar with. Genny |

Hi, does any of you die-hard Sonny Landreth fans know what has happened to that Myspace fan site? It hasn't been edited since a long time, and the page maker does not answer friend requests at all. I would love to add Sonny to our band profile and place him up the Top 40 list, but my requests automatically expire after one month with no reply. By the way, great fan site and forum you have here! Maybe you should reconsider your idea about making up another Myspace site for Sonny Landreth? ZZee ya, Hans-Jürgen Dang, just realized my link doesn't work, because this forum eliminates "bad" terms. OK, doesn't matter, makes a nice quiz for our band name...

Hans, Thanks, glad you like the site. Unfortunately I don't have the time or energy to deal with "My Space" at this time. I am quite busy and do well to keep up with Broken Hearted Road, but thanks for the suggestion. Take care and good luck with your band. Genny |

Hi Genny, thanks for your answer! In the meantime Cynthia wrote that she will forward my suggestion to Sonny's new management. It would be the best way of course if they handle a new Sonny Landreth profile themselves. I think Myspace has become THE promotion platform for all bands these days, no matter if they are well-known already or not. ZZee ya, Hans-Jürgen |

New Sonny Landreth fan group on Myspace Hi, I've just created a new Sonny Landreth fan group on Myspace so you can join there and also invite other Myspace users to that group if you click on "Add to group" on their profiles. By the way, you can also upload pictures to that group, so go ahead and post your best Sonny Landreth shots there as well (max. file size 600k each). As mentioned before, up to now there is no official Sonny Landreth profile on Myspace, the only existing page has been created by an unknown fan who has abandoned it in 2006, only a few months after starting it. So interested musicians and fans have no place on Myspace to look for current infos on Sonny Landreth or send friend requests etc. This situation might change in the future if Sonny's management creates an official Myspace profile, but independent from that option I thought it would be a good idea to create a fan group in the meantime. Here are some external links to existing fan forums on the internet: Sonny's Krewe This one U.S.S. Zydecoldsmobile LastFM group Last but not least Sonny's official homepage has a lot to offer as well, e.g. the "Lagniappe" section with rare live recordings, explanations of slide tunings etc. I also took the group picture from that site, it was made by Jack Spencer. ![]() ZZee ya, Hans-Jürgen (guitarist and singer of Bluezz *******zz and Indigo Rocks) |

Hans, Good job, I'm sure there will be lots of people out there that will appreciate your myspace page since it looks as if there isn't currently one out there for Sonny and many people like myspace. I had signed up on myspace way back when to check it out but decided I just didn't have the time to do it nor the energy to keep up with myspace so decided against it. Have fun and thanks for the link on your site, I'll post one here to your myspace page as well. Genny |

Hi Genny, you're welcome, and thank you for linking to the Myspace fan group! By the way, I just noticed that Myspace has deleted the abandoned profile today, so there is something happening at the moment, hopefully we'll see an official Sonny Landreth profile on Myspace soon. I also like Myspace, because it's a useful place to learn about other related artists and music I've never heard about before, e.g. the new group member Billy Thompson who sounds really great.
