I phoned the Arboretum on Friday, ( AGAIN )and got a phone call reply yesterday.......
The plaque is in place, and a photo is going to be sent to me, as soon as possible....
Was advised that the tree , a Corsican Pine" is little more than a twig, at present, so I guess that a lot of people are going to be very dissapointed for their £275 that it cost....
All this has been ongoing, for very many months now, all incidentaly at my own personal expense, apart from the original cheque, which came from the association Funds.........
It appears that the wheels of the Arboretum, grind very slowly, once they receive the monies..
I was also advised that Roy Boyles ( A non member of the Betfor Association ) has organised a function at the Arboretum in the name of the Betfor Association, on 2nd April 2008...
Legally no meeting should be sanctioned, without the authority of the Committe.....
May I therefore request that all future meetings held by ANYONE, should be held in the name of the breakaway Association....Whatever that may be.... |
