I have been authorized by the Committee of the BETFOR Association to maintain this website and message board in an active state for the present time. It is to serve as an online forum for news and communications among BETFOR's ex-servicemen and their families and friends, even though public meetings and publications are not currently scheduled.
I have been further instructed to say on behalf of the Committee of the Association that a 'dissident group' and their generally anonymous "Standing Committee" and "Interim Committee" - apparently consisting principally of Roy Boyles, Harry Dixon, Fred Greenwood, Ray Griffiths, Derek Parkey, Colin Russell, and Peter Sexton - are specifically denied any right to speak or act, as or for, the BETFOR Association. Further, their claim to convene an AGM or EGM of The BETFOR Association is refused.
Specifically, there is no meeting of this Association called for or authorized on 2nd April. Any such pretense of or for such a meeting may not use the name of The BETFOR Association.
The further impact of the Certificate of Incorporation on the present plans of and for this Association is now being studied, and will be reported as soon as possible on both message board and website.
