swearing

after listerning to talk sport tonight .i love the idea where as from next season in a league of good standard .a trail will take place where any swearing at all is a straight red no exception.i think this will go along way if they carry it out to the law.PERHAPS OUR LEAGUE SHOULD CONSIDER IT

Re: swearing

You must be a mind reader!

I am part of the committee and I am considering putting a proposal forward for zero tolerance as from the 2008/09 season.

This would mean that the referees would dismiss ANY PLAYER who uses foul or abusive language. This includes abuse aimed at opponents, team-mates, or just used in every day speach whilst on the field of play.

One of the laws of football state that the use of foul or abusive language is an offence for which a player shall be dismissed. We simply want to direct our referees to enforce this law to the letter.

I'm sure some teams will hate it. They will have a simple choice - shape up or play your football elsewhere. I feel the league will benefit in the long run.

Re: swearing

couldnt agree more i think its the way to save the game we love .aggresive behaviour wil stop moaning and ******** as well and we may get some refs back, even my players will hate it but as you say its in the laws so if the refs are tough enough it will benefit all invovled .i think they are tryng it next season in a semi pro league for the fa.......good luck cos if we carry on the way things are amaetur football s dead...
