Humane Society of Central Louisiana mix up
I know for a fact it is not Humane Society of Central Louisiana.... I was there the day in question! Humane Society of Cenla does not have a shelter.. I am one of the foster moms as well as do adoptions! The "building" the lady was referring to was another rescue group that loans us the use of their front office to meet people at times rather than have just anybody come to our homes which is where our animals are! This rescue groups is a non kill as well as us...yes they have dogs from the pound their BECAUSE on euthanasia day (at the city of alex pound) this rescue would go and adopt as many as she could so they would not be euthanized...hence the reason she has dogs in her rescue.... Our rescues come mostly from dumpsters..if we were going to euthanize them then why would we go through the trouble of helping them and vetting them and spaying/neutering them.. I have the lady's info that made the comments you have posted which by the way is ruining your credit because you have it so out of context it is rediculous... I have her original letter apologizing for putting our address..that was the only address of a rescue group in central la so she put it... when she put City of Alexandria Animal Shelter she WAS correct... another fact you have wrong though (not trying to defend City of Alexandria Pound but if you're going to try to publicize things ..then facts need to be straight!) is about gas... they do not use a gas chamber..they do use heart sticks though... for furthur questions please call the Protective Animal Welfare Society in Alexandria, Louisiana (P.A.W.S.) or please feel free to email humanesoccenla@aol.com ! |
