Walker County Animal Shelter
Bless you for taking the time to put this site up! My friend and I are renewing the campaign on the Walker Co. shelter in hopes that Ms Smith will resign once and for all for letting the autrocities continue. I am a volunteer at the Chatt Humane Society and have heard stories to the likes that I have read on your site and Best Friends GA network. I am curious on how you obtained the picturs of the dogs since I have heard she will not allow a camera in. She never replied to any of my free offers of a website and/or photo shoots of the animals. Any other help would be appreciated since no one seems to be listening...please call the ASPCA GA to file a complaint along with us! 888-288-0028 Also please email me for some good tips for your site, I would LOVE to see it at the top of the search pages for Walker County, I never would have found this site if it wasn't sent to me. I would like to retract my first comment on the Walker County Animal Shelter. My personal investigation in this matter has proved to me that most of the stories about this shelter is just that...stories, I think a lot of them started when it was located in the land fill. I have been to this new shelter several times, took pictures and had a three hour conversation with Ms Smith. While no one is perfect, I believe she has put her heart into this shelter and currently presents a very clean, friendly and compassionate facility. Volunteers are always welcome! |
