Olympia...
from what I can tell Olympia is a throw first , run second team...should be fairly decent on saturday so look for them to throw a ton!! Our lineman stepped it up last week and they were the KEY to shutting out the Thomas offense the 2nd half......we should be able to run run run the ball...so get loose DEUCE!! I told you he would break one the other night..although I was wrong and it didnt go for a TD..BUT...that play (his long run in the 3rd quarter) was the turning point in the game...got us back in..the run is a funny thing..stay with it long enough even if it isnt working and eventually it WILL work..trouble is if you get too far behind you cant stay with it.....lets get THE lead...play solid D... and ram it down their throats!! First posession is HUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGE!! |

Hey Mike, I agree. But you have to remember, Deuce is a decent player BUT not the only player....Everyone forgets how he gets through the holes...there is an entire line that has to open up all the holes and they are never mentioned, Maksiewv(sorry for spelling), Knitter, Bernard, Allis, Rotella and Ellsworth, Our fullbacks are just as key. And how about the blocking they have to do for Coffey to pass. I think these guys need a little round of applause as well. |

Elmer...I agree!!! If you take a look at my note after the Webster Thomas game..I gave the Biggest props to the Line play in the second half of the Thomas game....pure and simple...they dont get after Brown and block for Deuce and Alex...we dont win ...PERIOD!!! It is definitely the key to our success.........hats off to the Line!! |
