What's the deal?
I have been going to the Shirlington dog park for 2 years now and lately I have noticed that the amount of aggressive dogs has been a problem. Yesterday my dog Lana was attacked and received a 3 inch long laceration that required surgery including 15 staples to repair on her back. She was bitten by an Akita that she wasn't even engaged in play with, it just atccked her for no apparent reason. The owner of the Akita that attacked my dog was listening to his Ipod and was not even paying attention to his dog when this occurred. This is the 3rd attack that I have witnessed in the last 2 weeks at the Shirlington park. This type of behavior is UNACCEPTABLE and should never be tolerated. It has ruined my experience at the park and because of it I will never be able to take Lana back to the park that she loves so much. It is sad for me because I know how much Lana loves to play with the friends she has made there over the years, but now she wont be able to any more. Goodbye, Doc & Lana |
