Hello all.
I have done family research for my side of the family extensively and now am assisting my wife, Joanne (Mongiello) Grogan, with her side. That Mongiello line immigrated to the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area about 1904. I have some information below which was provide to me some years ago by Fr. Anthony Mongiello (thanks again!). There are several holes that need filling. As well, I want to see the distant subling connections. The family roots appear to extend to Cassano Irpinio, Avellino, Italy as early as 1850...I have nothing before that. My mother is Ruth Helen Mongiello. She was born in Penn. I was born to Ruth Mongiello Tobias on Oct. 8, 1952, in Cincinnati Ohio. Ruth was 27 years old at the time of my birth, and she had three other living children at that time. Ruth married Melvin Roy Tobias so my siblings would have the Tobias name.
