I heard Turkeys changed a lot and not necessarliy for the better especially Gumbet. I havent been for sometime though.
I actually got a call from a friend looking to go on a break; flights to Gran Canaria and Lanzarote are as little as £80 just compare that to flights to Gambia and theyre 3 or 4 times as high.
I use bush taxis i refuse to use the tourist taxis especially after this last trip and many of the 1st timers at the hotels summoned the courage to do the same.(after constant nagging) Tho many like you say went as far as the beach and hotel gardens and 1 or 2 overpriced trips.
The problem is with the hotels is everything is cost cost cost so even if they offered chaparones the charges would be a joke.
As for the offical stats I to would be intrested the rep had given those figures compared to last year but I suspect offically they'd be higher.
A collegue returned on a half empty flight tuesday and said their flight was the only 1 arriving/departing she said the airport was dead theyre were more waiters than passengers about |
