I am moving to New Orleans soon for work and I was wondering if anyone commutes from outside the city. Are there areas to live in that are very nice (home prices in the low $200Ks or so)that offer a quick commute? I'm moving there from a very high tech area where everything is new and has up-to-date technology, etc. I'm a little worried to go back in time to live in NO... at least that's what it seems like most everywhere I read. I'd also really like the opinion of others who moved to NO from outside the area... how does it compare to other areas around the country?
