a few gems on myspace that I came across today, a live tracks by the Waterboys 'Higherbound'. quite superb and our very own Barry, guesting on the Millroys appearance on the Bob Harris show. nice fiddle work me thinks.
Also quite happy the Milroys finally put Coaltown boy on their myspace. they played it live but it's not on their CD. if only it was downloadable ....
for those who like the Pogues, check out the MODENA CITY RAMBLERS. an italian band with Graeme Blake like political leanings. their previous albums were all in Italian (something for keith perhaps?) but their latest sees some of their old faves translated & sung in English as it was produced by Terry Woods of the Pogies. they are really good and not just because they have toured with McNiff or rather McNiff has toured with them.
