Watchmen On The Wall Forum

Welcome to the Watchmen On The Wall Forum

Isaiah 62:6

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, [which] shall never hold their peace day or night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 KJV

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

"Coming Home" - difficult times & number 24 (as in 2024!?)

"Coming Home" - difficult times & number 24 (as in 2024!?)

Isaiah 26 LINK
20 Go, my people, enter your rooms
and shut the doors behind you;
hide yourselves for a little while
until his wrath has passed by.
21 See, the Lord is coming out of his dwelling
to punish the people of the earth for their sins.
The earth will disclose the blood shed on it;
the earth will conceal its slain no longer.

Our small country church has gotten smaller since I started
going to it back in late 2019 and, this morning, we had only
around 20 people. My next door neighbors (husband and
wife) sometimes attend and, this morning, they sat on the
back row behind a friend and I.

Our pastor's sermon was pointing DIRECTLY at the times
NOW and the key scripture was 2 Timothy 3:1-5

2 Timothy 3:1-5 NASB
Difficult Times Will Come
1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will
come. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money,
boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents,
ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious
gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure
rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness
although they have denied its power; avoid such people
as these.

After the last ("invitational") hymn, (because of the sermon),
I told my neighbors of 2 dreams I had after my mother's death
(of course, they had known her and she loved their 3 little
children!).

(From: Wed., Dec. 9, 2020 - WARNING from dream (morning
after my mother died)

...On this morning (around 6:12 a.m.), the day after my mother
...died, I heard a woman's voice say and wake me up: "HURRY UP!!!"

...This morning (about 6:30 AM) I dreamed I was looking at a large
...number "24" which, I guess was on a calendar or in a book.
...Then, the book closed and I COULDN'T GO FURTHER!?

The VERY LAST ("invitational") hymn was "Coming Home"!

LINK
1 I’ve wandered far away from God,
Now I’m coming home;
The paths of sin too long I’ve trod,
Lord, I’m coming home.
Coming home, coming home,
Nevermore to roam;
Open wide Thine arms of love;
Lord, I’m coming home.

2 I’ve wasted many precious years,
Now I’m coming home;
I now repent with bitter tears,
Lord, I’m coming home.

3 I’m tired of sin and straying, Lord,
Now I’m coming home;
I’ll trust Thy love, believe Thy word;
Lord, I’m coming home.

4 My soul is sick, my heart is sore,
Now I’m coming home;
My strength renew, my hope restore:
Lord, I’m coming home.

5 My only hope, my only plea,
Now I’m coming home;
That Jesus died, and died for me;
Lord, I’m coming home.

6 I need His cleansing blood, I know,
Now I’m coming home;
O wash me whiter than the snow;
Lord, I’m coming home.
