Re: Composite landing gear

I have two plies of 7781 style on each of the "flat" sides and gun rowing all the rest inside. Its ¾ of an inch thick tapered to ½ inch. The kind of landing gear used on particular design has to do a lot with the way it is attached to the airframe. The spring gear is attached to a single point on each side of the fuselage. On trikes the gear is usually attached in multiple points and the frame has no width to speak of .
