Transfer Old Recordings to CD

I'm extending an open invitation to anyone who would like to have their cherished recordings transferred to CD.

I can transfer LP's, cassettes, or the audio track on a video tape. I do not have a DVD burner (yet) so I do not have the ability to transfer VHS to DVD.

I also cannot transfer reel to reel or 8-tracks. I don't own a reel to reel machine anymore and I've never owned an 8-track player, they were before my time (hehehehe).

While I have high quality equipment and fully understand how to treat treasured recordings, I would recommend making safety copies (if you can) before shipping anything. I've ordered LP's through the mail and have never had any problems in the past , but you never know what happens in transit.

I'm not asking anything in return, other than
selfishly expanding my own music collection.

What years were you a Corps member? 2nd Sop in 1979

Re: Transfer Old Recordings to CD

Rich,

If you are interested in some old recordings of Norwood and other corps from the late 50s and 60s, you might want to go to the following website.

http://www.digitalcds.com/

You will need to go to their Catalog and you should find their selection. It's my understanding that their CDs have been reproduced from the masters so your not going to get a CD produced from an old scratched 33 1/3 record.

What did you do in the Corps? Baritone

What years were you a Corps member? 1959-66

Re: Transfer Old Recordings to CD

Rich,

The Blessed Sacrament website http://www.bsgoldenknights.org/album/index.htm
has downloads of Sac from most years. Some of them are from scratchy records, but the 1959 and 1960 shows are pretty good quality.
