Drum Corps magazine collection now available!

Bob Shreffler and Donna Larsen (Gatlin) have donated a substantial collection of drum corps magazines to the Corps. We have about 100 of them, dating from January 1950 to 1985. The early magazines are mostly Drum Corps World, but from the 1970's we have many Drum Corps Digest and Drum Corps America copies.

These are boxed and available for use at corps alumni gatherings. Reading through the old magazines is a real hoot. It is fun to see the corps from all eras, especially against whom you marched. You also see the changes in drum corps over the years. Unfortunately, you also see that a great many corps are gone.

If you'd like to borrow these for a corps, or family, gathering, give me a shout. David Borck, 847-394-1439.

Of course, if you'd like to donate some more old magazines, let me know.

Enjoy!
