NORWOOD / IMPERIALS REUNION JUNE 26

DATE: SUNDAY JUNE 26, 2005 at Maine West High School (Wolf & Oakton) in Des Plaines. This will be held at the site of the DCI corps contest being held by the Royal Airs Senior Exhibition Corps.

The Norwood Event Team has Gary Wigman (snare drummer 1955-70) as the leader, with 6 additional people on his NP team. These include" Ken "Mouse" Fligelman, Denny Bialas, Larry Nichols.

We think this is a great opportunity for ALL alums of the Norwood Park Drum and Bugle Corps/ Norwood Park Imperials/ Skokie Imperials to meet and celebrate their time in the Corps!

The event itself is forming along these lines:

. registration cost will be $50/person ... and
will include:
. alumni activities, registration and information
. food buffet (catered by a professional catering
firm)
. tickets for the RA DCI show (group seating
together between 40 yard lines on the visitor
side … near the corps tents)
. some form of alumni apparel (T shirt or hat ..
to be decided yet).
. admission to a private party after the show at
a local establishment.

SCHEDULE:

. alums arrive about 2 PM on Sunday and register
at the NP alumni tent. Note: there will be 4 large
tents (each holds 80 people) for tables & chairs;
food tents are separate but nearby.
. reserved parking area.
. alums invited to watch the RA field practice about
3 PM .. and interact with our Imperial alum
friends who are members of the corps.
. food served 4-6 PM. Note: NO alcoholic beverages
allowed. Soda and bottled water provided!
. attend the Corps show beginning at 6:30 PM,
seating as a group. At this date, the corps
participating in the contest are listed as:
Americanos, Blue Knights, Capital Regiment, Colt
Cadets, Colts, Phantom Regiment, Southwind and
the Royal Airs Senior Exhibition Corps.

Afterward we will gather at a private party/ liquor establishment, event registration required. (It may be a good idea to get Monday off.) Most importantly relive the battles won and lost with some of the best people ever.

Gary Wigman adds: not that he is concerned but for some reason he felt that he should mention that this event is being conducted on school property. Therefore, no smoking, no alcohol, guns (to include starter pistols), switchblades, drugs, base drum mallets, brass knuckles or incendiary devices.

There are some things YOU can do:
