Our corps alums "stepped to the plate" to help with the June reunion and with the CD project 
.
Now, we need some help from people with some available time and with some specific skills. 
The Corps Alumni Team has several interesting projects planned ... but needs some additional volunteer help to make them happen! Some will be short-term tasks. Here are the areas of need:
WEBSITE HELP.
We need people to help prepare submitted photos
for posting to the website. We are backed up with
pictures submitted for the website. To do this you will need a good quality scanner and the ability to e-mail prepared pictures to Larry for website entry. Contact the webmaster or David Borck for further information.
A person to act as the "assistant webmaster" would be a big help, as Larry is quite busy with work and family issues. While Larry can provide a lot more detail, this basically involves monitoring the website, answering alumni questions and adding approved materials to the website. Some knowledge of Internet and website hosting is helpful.
WRITING HELP.
Over 25 ideas for articles or features for the website have been identified to date. Most require someone to research the idea, talk with alums and write the feature for publication. Each feature would probably take a week or so to complete. This effort will be coordinated by Cheryl Young, who is our primary editor.
ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN OUR CORPS ALUMNI ROSTER.
Joan Manly has done a great job of creating a (draft) corps alumni roster, using several sources for basic information. But, she needs help to finish the task, put it into manageable format (for alumni downloading) and to maintain it with additions. This will require some time for editing and input of new names.
These projects will make the alumni website more useful and enjoyable for all alums. If you would like to help us move ahead on these projects, contact me or any of the Team members involved with these items. Thanks for your help and support!
