MORE sad news to report

We have recently learned of the passing of two of our very early corps alums: Bob Crow and Richard Enger.

Bob Crow was the FIRST student taught by Willie Widmeyer and was also the first member of the Corps. This all started in 1926. Bob was about 6 or 7 years old when this happened. Note that Bob's mother was also the first Corps President! Bob died on May 22, 2006.

Richard Enger was the FIRST drum major for the Corps. Our earliest picture of the corps (from 1933) shows him to be a bit older than the other kids (he was born in May, 1920). We heard that he passed away in February, 2006.

As our alums (and we all!) grow older, we (unfortunately) can expect such sad news with increasing frequency.
