2007 DCI Season

The 2007 Bands of America/DCI season started yesterday. The DCI website indicates three contests were held.

Groups scoring higher than 70 included:

Blue Devils 75.9
Santa Clara 75.4
Cavaliers 73.9
Rockford 72.8
Blue Coats (Ohio?) 71.6
Allentown Cadets 70.7
Carolina 70.4

Didn't see Madison or Boston as being in any of the contests. It's very early in the season but it seems like the same group with the higher scores. Although Santa Clara seems to have some improvement over recent seasons.

When I was on the DCI website I noted that there are only 22 groups in Div I list for the DCI main event in Pasadena. As past threads have discussed, this seems like a very small group that's getting smaller (the San Diego corps seems to have folded or gone in-active).

I didn't have time to go over to Pleasant Hill yesterday--the Santa Clara and the Blue Devils were the only major groups in the show. A decent seat cost $45 at that show.

What did you do in the Corps? Baritone--Cadets 1959 through 1961 Imperials 1962 through 1966

What years were you a Corps member? 1959-66 (Cadets 59-61 Imperials 62-66)
