NP ALUMS WHO BECAME CORPS JUDGES?

A friend recently asked me how many Imperials alums have gone on to become corps (or band) judges.

I said that I could identify NINE ... but there could easily be more! Here are the names I remembered:

Rick Maass (CSJA and DCI) brass, marching
Hank Grana (CSJA and DCI) marching
Dave Borck (CSJA and DCI) percussion, music
Gary Czapinski (CSJA and DCI) marching
Bill Strauts (CSJA and All American) percussion
Merle Carroll (CSJA) timing
Mike Maggio (All American) percussion
John Tomaszek (All American) percussion
Marie Grana (CSJA and DCI) marching

Marie Czapinski also judges winterguard. I know since she roughed us up at our last show. You can tell she is impartial since she is aware that we marched the same corp!!!!!!!!!

Frank Grana Jr. was also a judge in Central States

What did you do in the Corps? baritone

What years were you a Corps member? Cadets 62, 63 Imperials 64-70

Dave, My last year in Norwood, 1971, Warren Dulski judged us in a show. Obviously it was in percussion. I don't remenber what show it was. Maybe Warren could shed some light on that or maybe John Donnelly, Al Hausheer, or Rick Wyatt could.

I have been getting a bunch of replies to this post, and to my e-mail, giving me more alum names to add to the judges list. In fact, I heard directly from Warren Dulski today.
