Sad news to report:

This is to inform all of the passing of Barbara Gill, matriarch of the Gill family. The Gills marched in the corps in the 1960's-70's era. Visitation: Friday 2/20/09, 4-9:00 P.M. at M.J. Suerth Funeral Home 6754 Northwest Highway, Chicago. Funeral Mass: Saturday 2/21/09, 11:30 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Church 7211 Talcott(corner of Harlem and Talcott), Chicago.

This is sad news. Along with the Granas, the Gills basically populated the corps in the 60s and 70s. I was able to remember at least seven of the children, all of whom I marched with - Frank, Terry, Colleen, Barbie, Ginny, Judy, and Annie. And I believe there was a son (Tom?) who never marched (how could he even take part in family conversations?). I think Barbie was the only one to never march with the A corps, but she was in the Cadets. My condolences go out to the entire Gill family.
