Re: Hey Facebookers

I opened a facebook site about two weeks ago. Haven't check out the site but I noted that DCI has a facebook page. A lot of businesses seem to be starting facebook pages as well.

It's a good vehicle to exchange photos and particularly videos with friends and it is free.
One can also regulate how much one shares with the public and friends.

After I opened it, I found that it has a search engine for UTube videos and found a lot of corps related stuff. I assume that is how Bill Schaefer was able to see and hear the Blue Devils opener (see other post from last weekend). I has video of their concert during the pre-show BBQ at Stanford and a video of an encore after they won the show. It also has video people took during shows. I didn't spend a lot of time searching but one can probably find a lot of old and recent DCI corps stuff and there might even be something from the Royal Airs senior corps. It would seem to me that some of Will Koenig's DVDs could be posted on UTube if they aren't already.

Facebook and UTube don't replace a website like this but a Norwood Park site might be something to consider to supplement posting of videos and other materials we can't presently do on the site.
