The Blue Stars beat the defending world champions tonight (7/16) by .2! Go you Blue Stars!

I noted that in tonight's scores. What happened to Phantom Regiment? Looks like the top is going to be Blue Devils, Cavaliers, Santa Clara, Carolina and Garfield with Bluecoats and Phantom Regiment losing ground (not being able to clean show as well as the rest).

WOW! Suddenly it's the 70s all over again. Blue Stars haven't beaten Phantom since 1975. But I was kind of sad to see Garfield upend Carolina. Still, there's a long way to go. Tomorrow night ALL of the corps are together in one show for the first time. Should be interesting.

Well, the dancing probably started all over again on Saturday! Blue Stars with a solid placing at DCI AND beating Phantom again.

Course, it is most likely that very few of the Blue Stars members are really from Wisconsin .. so they don't really give a care about the connection with the past.

The current Blue Stars members keep many of the tridations from the past.
That was evident last year when they made finals and had the old uniforms in the A-Squad.
When my son marched with them in 2006, many alumni would show up to talk with the members about the old days.
They have a very good Alumni there.

The Blue Stars put on a heckova show! They were really good! Finished 8th at finals. They are a corps to be reckoned with from now on, I feel.
