Alumni Gatherings

Question re: alumni gatherings/ activities

We haven’t been able to do much on this for a while. Not a lot of interest or support.

Some ideas have been proposed for Imperials alumni gatherings. We’d like to hear your opinions and thoughts.

Ideas so far:

1. attend a drum corps / small corps/ pageantry event as a group .. perhaps with a separate alumni gathering included

2. holiday party .. at a restaurant/ pub or private facility.

3. summer … all alumni or small group gatherings?

Other ideas??

Would need people to work to make this happen.

Post to website or send to David Borck

Re: Alumni Gatherings

Imperials alumnus MIke Embrey (Soprano, 1966) now operates a firm which runs events .. including pageantry stuff. He has suggested some ideas for alumni gatherings .... some with ties to events he runs.

April 2010 - Heartland International Music Tattoo - features a variety of music groups plus Drum Corps. Ticket prices $25.00 to $35.00 reserved tickets. (see www.HeartlandTattoo.org)
During the Show we would acknowledge and Honor the Imperials.

Summer - Kane County Cougars Baseball Game or Chicago Cubs Game

July 31, 2010 - Drum Corps Show at NIU Huskie Stadium - DeKalb, IL. Tickets $10.00 to $20.00 - During the Contest we would acknowledge and Honor the Imperials.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Let's hear more ideas.... and get some people to work ... or this will never happen.

Re: Alumni Gatherings

I live on 113 acres (not all used) but how about a
summer camp-out party? Pitch tents--volleyball, yard
bag game--beer pong (my son left this when he went away
to college) cook-out --just a thought--what do ya think?

Re: IMPERIALS Alumni Gatherings

Gregg Delli (1950s alum) told me that a number of Corps alumni have started meeting monthly for a LUNCH meeting at UNO'S in Schaumburg (11:00am). This is at Meachem and Golf.

Their next meet is tomorrow 10/22, but you may want to attend in the future.
