SAD NEWS : Pearl G. McKenney (Nee Davidson)

Pearl G. McKenney (Nee Davidson), the mother of Jerry Davidson (Brass instructor 1979-83; Imperials Manager 1981), passed away Wednesday (9/15/10) at 12:15 pm.

From Jerry:

"She had a major stroke on Friday, September 3rd and made a good rally before finally slipping away yesterday. She died peacefully and with dignity, the way she wanted.

Naturally my brother and I are devastated, but I also feel a sense of relief and comfort in that she was able to pass on her own terms and with very little discomfort.

Viewing will be on Friday Sept 17th from 3:30-9:00 PM at
Verheydens Funeral Home
16300 Mack Ave.
Grosse Pointe Park, MI

Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at
St. Paul's on The Lake Catholic Church
157 Lake Shore Road
Grosse Pointe Farms, MI
Followed by burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit

Thank you my friends for all of your support and kindness in these very trying times."

The thoughts and prayers of all Imperials are with Jerry and his family.
