Imperial of the Year

I've been wondering when the award started and who won it. I know a few of the years:
1963 - Sam Tessitore
1964 - John Anderson
1965 - Bruce Bork or Wally Pennington?
1966 -
1967 - Bob Minor

What did you do in the Corps? Drummer

What years were you a Corps member? 1958 "B" Corps through 1967 "A" Corps

Re: Imperial of the Year

Bob,

I have a correction

1965 was Vicky Boey (now Vicky Pennington)
1966 was Bruce Borck

Would be interesting to know who received the award after 1966.

I don't know if it was awarded before 1963. I don't remember an award in 1962 (my first season).

Re: Imperial of the Year

I don't remember awards or banquets being done before 1962.

Re: Imperial of the Year

Jim Johnson? Why don't I remember that name at all?

What did you do in the Corps? Snare; Drum Major; Drum Instructor/Arranger

What years were you a Corps member? 1970-73; 78-79

Re: Imperial of the Year

If my memory serves me right, (I think) Jim came from Franklin Park and the Colonels. He drove a Gremlin and was a soprano. Hopefully someone can confirm or let me know who I’m thinking of.

Re: Imperial of the Year

A Gremlin? My ultimate dream car! But I still can't remember him.
