Sad news: Sally Blomquist

Sally Blomquist passed from this earth on Sunday 1/30/2011. She was a loving mother and wife and one of the great “Norwood Mothers” of the corps in the 1960s. Her son, Bill Blomquist, was a soprano in the corps in the 1960s. Sally was a great friend and mother to MANY corps members.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at Brust Funeral Home, 415 N. Gary Ave., Carol Stream. Visitation will be held there 3 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.

Sally Blomquist was one of the great "Norwood Mothers" in the corps Mothers Club of the 1960s.

They did everything.. helped raise money, ran social events, volunteered as chaperones, did uniform work .. gosh, you name it and they were there.

Sally was always "right there" to help. And, she was a great friend .. she was a good friend with my mother Phyllis Borck.
