(1st Pavilion upon entering…on right) – LARGE PAVILION
26034 N. Roberts Road
Port Barrington, IL (1 mile West of Route 59 on Roberts Road
– north of Rt 22 ) - South side of street

The same location as last year has been secured. This beautiful and large facility on the Fox River is kept very clean, has modern indoor restroom facilities, many electrical outlets, BBQ grills and a fireplace.

Picnic tables and benches are provided at the grove…however, you are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets (and a pop-up canopy if you wish), since it will probably be crowded!

There will be no fee to anyone for the picnic…however, there will be a donation jar passed, since expenses are incurred in acquiring the pavilion, etc. Your generous donations will be appreciated by the organizing team!

This will be a family-style picnic…bring your own food and drinks (liquor IS allowed on the premises). All liquids must be in plastic or aluminum containers…no glass please. If you would like to barbecue, grills are provided at the pavilion, but you will need to bring your own charcoal.

We will provide any music (boombox). We are looking forward to our entertainment for this picnic, and we hope there will be many ensembles performing…Vanguard, Norwood, Madison, Kilties, Royal Airs, Cavaliers, Nisei, Fox Valley Raiders, Vaqueros, Spartans, etc. Soloists, duets, trios, quartets…and even entire corps! You have a couple of months remaining to gather musicians and form an ensemble…whether it is just drums, horns…or both. People love the sounds of drum corps!!!

The event was fun. Sadly, only about a dozen Imperials alumni were there....
maybe more next year?

BTW.. Steve Vickers, the publisher of Drum Corps World was there for a visit. Great fun talking with him.
