Re: "The Ohio State University Marching Band - TBDBITL Halftime 10-6-12 Video games Nebraska"

I think I've had a number of posts about Ohio State in the past. In my view they are the super corps and have always been so. Since I first saw them in the late 60s. They don't have any reed instruments--all brass. The Michigan band director called them a drum and bugle corps back in the late 60s.

A few years back I sent a CD with some Ohio State recordings to a few of our forum participants. Everyone thought they were a drum corps but couldn't identify them (some of the songs were Blue Devils and Santa Clara arrangements).

What's unusual about the show in video is the use of some props. Their director must have gone to a few DCI shows in Indianapolis. Of course they can do this kind of stuff because they put so many more people on the field.

When I lived in Ann Arbor, I went to a few Ohio State-Michigan football games. Half time was better than DCI.
