Sad News- Bob Minor

from Bill Blomquist:

Our good friend and fellow Imperial, Bob Minor (snare drummer from 1960s) passed away yesterday after his courageous battle with esophageal cancer. Bob began his drum corps career with the Imperial Cadets and continued with the Imperials through 1967.

Bob also lobbied the Royal Air Alumni Corps management to welcome individuals from other Corps to participate in that incredibly successful reunion corps endeavor. That act helped rekindle old friendships and sparked new friendship for hundreds of us old school drum corps lovers, something I know we're all very thankful for.

Some of us were lucky to spend some time visiting with Bob and Linda during Bob's final days. His incredible wit and positive attitude stayed with him until the very end. We'll forever miss Bob, but His suffering is over and he's now occupies a much better place.

Bob loved Drum Corps. Moreover, he loved all his Imperial and Royal Air brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held in Ocala, Florida. Linda is planning an Illinois memorial service in the near future. Details to follow.

Please keep Linda in your prayers during this difficult time.
