sad news; Arletta Maass

Arletta Maass

Sad news to report: Arletta Maass, 85, wife of Imperials legend Rick Maass, passed away Saturday Sept 3, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. We all knew of Rick and his work with the Imperials, as well as many other corps. Arletta, originally from Florence, WI, was also a drum corps member, having marched in a Wisconsin drum corps before marrying Rick. Arletta was a kind and friendly person, well known to many Imperials. She will be missed.

Visitation: Visitation Wednesday, Sept. 7th, 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca. Telephone: (630) 250-8588
Funeral: Family and friends will meet Thursday, Sept. 8th, for a Lying in State, 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m. at Saint Peter the Apostle Church 524 N. Rush St., Itasca.
Interment: Eden Memorial Cemetery, Schiller Park.
Death Notice: Arletta N. Maass Beloved wife of the late Richard; loving mother of Alan and Stephen (Davina); devoted grandmother of Daisy Helen; dear sister of Robert and the late Philip Nowicke.
Obituary: In lieu of flowers, donations to Saint Peter the Apostle Church 524 N. Rush St., Itasca, IL 60143 or the Itasca Library would be appreciated.

Directions:
From the north – Travel the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) south to Irving Park Road (Route 19) west exit. Travel west on Irving Park Road approximately 5 miles to The Oaks Funeral Home.
