first axum experience

honestly my first encounter with axum was an accident. I was with my roommate who was draggin me around trying to find her friend who was working in rec hall. We couldn't find the girl, and axum started playing. after my roommate heard tim sing madonna, she wasn't about to leave. After a few songs, tim being his usual self, was hyping up the crowd and decided to switch shirts with a girl near the front of the stage. I watched the rest of the show as my roommate drooled over Don and tim was sporting his new baby-tee shirt with tinkerbell on it. The mohawk which we all know and love was also part of his attire.

Enough said?

Re: first axum experience

Axum's concert in Rec Hall was also my first show. My roommate and I went to the pep rally beforehand and after hearing Axum do a cover of a Nelly song, we decided to stay because not that many bands do a rock cover of a rap song. I definitely remember Tim swapping shirts with that girl. I thought it was hilarious to watch Tim jump around on stage with a girl's shirt on that was 2 sizes too small and a mohawk. It was definitely a sight to see.
I was also impressed by the energy that the band had. I remember hearing Injection and just thinking it was awesome. I also thought it was cool how the band stayed after the concert to talk with the fans. Sigh....the memories of my first Axum concert.

Re: first axum experience

Ok, my first axum experience... ahhhh, those were the days. My first axum show was in February 2002 at the Brewery. There has been debate about this, but it was Don's second or third show. My best friend Ang had been going to see them for a while and wouldn't stop talking about how much fun they were, so I decided to check them out. Obviously, she was right and I was instantly hooked on the fun times. Been going out ever since and have met a TON of cool people. In fact, both of my current roommates were people I met at axum shows, so be careful of who you talk to... they may become some of your best friends
