WHAT has happened to the CHAINED LIBRARY which used to grace our
parish church.
Who permitted the lovely tiles which once graced the church floor
to be prized off to be replaced with the deadness of the stone slabs which are there now.
How much were the ancient tiles sold for and how was this money
spent.
Not one of the assistants around the church when I visited HAD EVER EVEN HEARD OF THE CHAINED LIBRARY.
I came from far away to re-visit this parish church so I would love to know the answers to these questions.
