The Village House on Rawson Avenue is holding it's first Gary Ruggiero Memorial and Open house from 11:00am to 2:00pm Saturday at the parking lot of St Anns Catholic Church and West State Street.

There will be activities for the whole family including games, food, a dunk tank, and ssprint cars. Gabby Henry of the Sandusky County Childrens Services, racer Bobby Clark, and attorney Chris Fiegl will be in the dunk tank.

Dedication of Ruggiero Hall the renamed front entrance hall will take place at noon. Ruggeiro who died Dec. 1, 2004 was past chairman of the Kids in Crisis Start Board and one of the founders of Village House which opened in 1996. He was a Guidance Councelor at Ross High School prior to his retirment.

"Ruggiero did so much in the community to help kids."
said Linda McGilton, executive director of Village House. "Kids were his passion, and he wanted to make sure they had a chance for a future."

At 12:30pm an auction of several items worth $50.00 dollars or more will be held.

Village House is a visitation center to help children who have been affected by abuse, divorce, and seperation. A member of the National Advocacy Centers of the Childrens Alliance, Village House serves about 200 families in Sandusky and surrounding counties.
