Let's see- I'm already 40

Things I would like to do:
Travel more
Parachute out of an airplane
Work out more often
Take a photography course or two
Never have to shave my legs again
Put my girls through college
Renew my wedding vows
open a spa retreat
volunteer at the hospital
stay happy

Things I've already done:
college
traveled some
plastic surgery
owned my own business
married a wonderful man
had 3 awsome girls
became a grandmother
stayed healthy/fit
been happy

Wow, a grandmother!

I just became a father through adoption. I have an almost 2-year old.

Yeah, I actually was a grandmother at 38. Sometimes
things happen a little (or a lot) sooner than you were expecting. but you learn to deal. My daughter had her son when she was 17, it was hard on the whole family at first. But he is a wonderful little boy and we all love him. I could keep him and give his mom (my daughter) away. LOL.
How was the whole adoption process? My sister-in-law is considering adoption.

It was very fulfilling. We did it through foster-to-adopt. We got him at 6 months. We had him in the house for 5 months before we were able to start adopting him. Him mother had a 16 year meth habit. No matter what allowances the court gave her, she didn't do what it took to kick the habit. We finally adopted him on his 18 month birthday. My wife's uncle was the presiding judge in LA Superior Court and he did the adoption for us. It was really neat.
