Ephesians 2:8-9 For by God’s grace, His loving-favor you have been saved from the punishment of sin through faith. It is not by anything you have done. It is a gift of God. It is not given to you because you worked for it. If you could work for it, you would be proud. We can’t save ourselves we need Jesus and his work on the cross.
Romans 10:9-10 - if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
When you put your faith and trust in Jesus the Holy Spirit will come dwell in you and sanctify you, giving you a new heart with new desires.
Ezekiel 36:26 - says I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
Once you put your faith and trust in Jesus alone for your salvation you will become a new person. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
