If Jesus told He Will return in the next 2000 years nobody Will believe Gospel

If Jesus left the message to people that He would return to create His kingdom on earth in the next 2000 years and christians should alert people about that i don't think there Will be any christians on earth.

He could actually establish His kingdom after His resurrection instead of wasting 2000 bloody years of bloody civilization of men full of wars and bloody deaths.
