Did God hypnotize Babylon king to attack Israel - Thou shalt not kill (Edited by Author)

Just a question from silly old man, nothing else

God happened to send plagues that killed thousands thousands to the hebrew that wanted to kill Moses and Aaron after Korah rebellion.

Why God need to use the hand of the Babylon army to attack them.
God could send plagues to kill them and save nations from war.
