I found your article about Most Haunted fascinating, especially your dismissal of the authenticity of Derek Acorah's spiritualist powers. I must admit I always felt he was a fake so I found your derisive comments very amusing indeed. As you say, the "facts" he conjured up were so often wide of the mark and in most cases completely wrong it is a wonder he is not sued under the trades description act - he's about as spiritualistically effective as a house brick. But what about David Wells? You say you like his personality and though I can concur with your opinion on his amiableness I find his amazing record as to spiritual accuracy when divining places almost as suspect as Derek's constant ineptitude. Have Most Haunted merely gone to the other extreme? Or is David Wells duping Yvette and the team more effectively than Derek ever did? Or is it us who are being duped?

It's so easy to jump on the "let's bash Derek Acorah" bandwagon, isn't it? Give the guy a break. Even scientists make mistakes - and mediumship is hardly an exact science. Especially when you're dealing with residual emotions and feelings that have been lying about in the spirit realm for up to hundreds of years. The room for error is huge. What should be acknowledged is the sheer incredibleness of any medium getting ANY facts correct given the opportunity for spiritual corrution over the centuries. Derek was close to the mark more times than he wasn't and that's a pretty impressive record. I'd like to see anybody else be as accurate.

Whether Derek Acorah has genuine psychic ability or not is not the issue here. The point is he's been exposed as a cheat by one of the in-house parapsychologists, Ciaran whatsisname - according to news sources Derek is fed information either deliberately or accidentally from other members of the team and then makes out it's come from a psychic source. It's been reported elsewhere that Ciaran deliberately fed Derek incorrect information and Derek was stupid enough to pretend it was fact and had come from his spirit guide. What an absolute con man. His bouts of spiritual possession were laughable. So obviously faked. The man needs help.

Yeah, have to agree with the general concensus about Derek. There's something pathetically tawdry and down-at-heel about his whole performance. At least David Wells is articulate and can speak correct English rather than the mish-mash of malapropisms and made up terminology that Derek frequently retreated into.

I'm not sure about the other guest psychic they have on there at the moment though - that Scottish guy. Don't like him. I suspect he's a fake too. Either that or he's just totally inaccurate in his mediumship.

And what has Yvette done to her hair? The new red colour is great but the cut is very unflattering! It looks likes she has utterly no neck!
