SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

Anyone able to give me a lift to Thetford tomorrow night?

Well, with weather like this, you'd be foolish not to head over to Thetford for a bimble around the forest.

Wondering if anyone's able to give me a lift?

Got a lift - see you there!

Managed to grab a lift there with Chippie Chris (who's riding despite being a few inches shorter after his crash at Mountain Mayhem on the weekend), so I'll see who ever turns up there - should be a top night for it!

Re: Anyone able to give me a lift to Thetford tomorrow night?

Hi Rich, sorry mate I managed to shoe horn the bike in the back of the van somehow so I'm going there straight from this afternoons job. Do you know where the BCP meeting point is? Cheers & sorry I cant help with the lift. Rob.

Do you know what or where the BCP Meet is?
Cheers
Rob

BCP = Brandon Country Park

Rob
The meeting point is in the car park at Brandon Country Park visitors centre (OS grid ref TL7885). People aim to get there at 7.20 for a 7.30 start.

Cheers, see you there.
