SAFETY BRIEFING.

Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

This was my race on Sunday…well a few bits of it.
i think the quality is a bit better this time.

well this is only a bit of the first lap as the rest were more of the same but slower and mudier.

i stopped the video before warren bank as i hate that bit and always make a hash of it.

a none to shabby 25th. and 7 laps
Rich had the peddle to the metal from the off and got 12th only 2 mins off geting an 8th lap in!

on the last lap i was chaseing a guy in TROG MTB team strip for half of the last lap, everytime i caught him he got past someone and i was stuck for a bit, but he eventualy beat me by 16 seconds

Rich seems to think there was someone else there that rides with us. aparently he was immidately in front of me just before the start. must be a tuesday rider?

Great clips, but it makes me feel tired just watching them

If you have any footage of the single track going down the son of the son of the Beast and the faster section before that (ie. before the 3rd video), that'd be perfect for tomorrows distraction from working too much

Hopefully be out soon once I get my bike back together (it's currently in bits, getting a thorough clean after the Thetford grinding paste)

i will see what i can find on the vid's, i'm not too good with the names of the tracks in Thetford, but i'm sure i can find something.

this is a diceptive piece of track. it looks easy but it was like you had velcro on the tyres.
