SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

Who's been gossipping?

I went to Station Cycles in Histon on Saturday and they had ALL heard tell of a Zesty meeting a sad end on the motorway. Will I not be able to show my face in any LBSs in East Anglia again?

Re: Who's been gossipping?

Er, it may have been me, but I can't remember if they had already heard the tale before I went in.
Was it a secret?
I found out by reading a public forum on the internet you know...

Re: Who's been gossipping?

I was in Histon shop the other week and in conversation, Dave knew of your Bike and was hoping it was one belonging to a customer who a squeaky rear end, as they cant cure the fault...

Re: Who's been gossipping?

Not really a secret but I was a bit surprised that everyone knew. I only went in for a part and spotted a Large Zesty 314 on the shelf. Mr Visa made me do it........

My wife's been complaining about my squeaky rear end for years - no-ones cured it.

Re: Who's been gossipping?

Funnily enough, I was in a Fiat garage and they were talking about a Punto damaged by a flying bike....
