SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

my face cushioned the fall

Dear,Kindly concerned as you may have noticed My comeback with cam mtb did not entirely follow my predicted format, initially the pain and struggling went accordingly,it was when i followed Perce on upgraded Bike and rebuilt knee down the grassy slope at wimpole hall, thoughts of a second wind and going like hell.Thats when the music stopped , when i came too I realised what a result I"ve had no broken neck and my face had cusioned the fall, luckily its not my fortune i thought. This morning i look like the main protagonist in a public information film on the risk of fires, The Loreal interview is postponed and cunnylingus on hold for a while but thank God i will soon be back on the bike Thanks All Regards Bowes

Re: my face cushioned the fall

Glad to hear you didn't do any serious damage and are hopefully on the mend.

What of the squishy nose? Was it broken?

Mike

Re: my face cushioned the fall

Hey Mike,
How's that slight scratch on your knee?
Looked pretty nasty...

Re: my face cushioned the fall

Yes, quite nasty, it very nearly broke the skin.

I think Bowes was jealous of sympathy I was getting!

Re: my face cushioned the fall

Good afternoon Mr Bowes,

L'Oreal have asked you to do their interview and makeover anyway - they see you as their greatest challenge. It's because you're worth it.

On the other matter, Mrs Bowes was always wondering what you were doing down there so a little while longer on hold won't matter.

Regards,
PA
