SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.
  • Don't ride too close to the person in front. If they crash into a badger, you'll need time to swerve.

26" parts wanted

26" frame wanted? We are after a frame for a 26" wheeled bike for "little" Mike to build up, spray and have as a bit of a project. From his remaining Christmas money todaty he picked up a set of Rock Shock 26" forks this morning and a 26" front wheel with a disc from Ben Haywoods and would like to build it up into a practice wheely / stunt bike. Do you guys have or know someone that has a frame, rear wheel, rear disc brake, bars, stem, bearings etc etc etc, they they are willing to sell to him? Thanks Steve

Re: 26" parts wanted

Andy has sorted me out a frame, BB, Headset, Seat Post, stem and handle bars.

Still looking for a rear 26" wheel and disc, as well as well as a rear caliper and lever. No doubt be looking for some drive related bits along the way, just not sure what as yet, but probably be looking for a rear derailleur and shifters if anyone has any that they are not likely to use :)

Re: 26" parts wanted

yo! can sort you with some 26er tyres (as can most people I imagine) but I offered first - on here at least. and offers on the forum override offers on facebook.

May have a spare bell kicking around as well.

Adriano
