SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

Re: Forum Changes by Bravenet

CAN return to website and change views on an Android tablet but no avatar option.

Re: Forum Changes by Bravenet

Yeah - it seems as though they have worked on how it looks and wraps on mobiles but not completed it.

Like you, I've had no issues on a tablet view (except the avatar). Looks really good, in fact.

I think that I have enough to go back to them with now.

Looks lubbly jubbly!

Re: Forum Changes by Bravenet

Hi All,

Well, I can't fault Bravenet for their responsiveness. I've had 3 emails back and we have:-

- The option to have Avatars back (see post by Duncan!)
- Choice of forum layout back on mobile (certainly on my Android phone) so you can select 'discussion', 'board' or 'threaded'
- A new menu bar visible in mobile, which shows 'return to website', etc. when clicked.
- The forum defaults to 'board' layout.

Also, I'm told that there are new colour schemes to try.

Last thing was that the photo didn't scale in mobile view, but I've been given some advice about how to make that work in the future.

I've responded with our thanks to the Bravenet Customer Service team - their CS Director, Tim (no surname given), made sure that he responded.

Regards

TOM

Re: Forum Changes by Bravenet

That mostly seems to work on the mobile. It genuinely is an improvement (now that it's all sorted).
