SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

Office coffee machines

My office has a nice one, bean to cup with various options for caffeine intensity, I usually go with 3 beans our of 3 on the strength scale. What kind of machine does your office have?

Also - like me - do you think that milk drinkers are ruining it for everyone else? The main challenges are:

- Capuccinos / lattes etc take ages to make
- The frother is noisy and sprays milk all over the place
- The milk options often break the machine, depriving the rest of us from enjoying proper black coffee
- Milk is so last year
- Milk is expensive and takes up space in the fridge, I reckon 50 bottles a week, which could be put to better causes

Re: Office coffee machines

Is this the right thread?

Re: Office coffee machines

we have a reasonable coffee machine or 3 in the office, but the damn things keep breaking / running out of coffee :unamused:

the reason it breaks is because it does too much, like tea, Capuccinos, mocca, hot water, empty cup !???? hot chocolate and chocomilk. the latter powder based offerings clog the pipes and the whole thing goes up the creak causing us normal folk to walk excessive distance for our caffine fix.

give me a latte or flat white over black coffee any day.

Could be, because Campagnolo dont do Coffee machines, but do do a nice Corkscrew

Re: Office coffee machines

Interesting response Pat. Ours does a little too much as well and can take a while to navigate to the correct option. One day some joker changed the preset buttons and it almost caused a riot.
